join forces to present the 3D Film & Interactive Festival Las Vegas.


Las Vegas (March 26th 2009) – The Dream Factory Studio, the visionary force behind the world’s first touring 3-D

Film & Interactive Festival initiative (3DFF), continued to evangelize on behalf of leading 3-D digital display,

technology and interactive content companies with the debut of “3DFF Las Vegas”, which will run March 27th

through April 4th , 2009 in Sin City.


Hosted by Rave Motion Pictures’ 18 Town Square and Planet Hollywood’s “The Living Room”, the program will

be presented by DLP/Texas Instruments, Real D, NVIDIA, and 3ality Digital, with technology and content support

from Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Deluxe, Efilm, UVPH, CGI Studios, DDD, Brain Paint, In Three,

APCO, PassmoreLabs, Vortex Immersion, Alienware, XpanD, 3opolis Pictures, and The Kerner Company.


The Festival will kick off on Friday, March 27th at 7pm with a VIP screening of 3DFF’s continually updated 3-D

short compilation program entitled “3ology: The Art and Science of the 3rd Dimension”, powered by DLP Cinema®

projection technology, which makes its return to theaters with exclusive showings at Rave Motion Pictures’ 18

Town Square. The program will be presented in RealD 3D and will be offered as a complimentary double feature for

all Rave ticket holders through April 2nd. The first 250 people to see the film will receive a complimentary gift bag

presented by Viewmaster®.


3DFF will host its Opening Night Gala directly following 3ology at Planet Hollywood’s “The Living Room”

Nightclub, the first fully functioning 3D nightclub installation on the Las Vegas Strip. 3D VIP and invited guests of

3DFF will be one of the first to experience Dream Factory’s newly re-designed 3-D Dance Floor Exhibit, which was

a huge hit at this years Sundance Film Festival where more than 20,000 people rocked out to live 3-D performances

by David Archuleta, David Osmond, Three 6 Mafia, Alyssa Suede, The High School Musical Dancers, and DJ

Melenik, who entertained celebrity attendees including Mariah Carey, Chris Rock, Mo’Nique, Liam Neeson,

Benjamin Bratt, John Krasinski, and Anthony Edwards.


The Dream Factory and its global partners aim to shine the spotlight on up and coming independent 3-D directors

and emerging technologies by showcasing a content program comprised of both independently produced and studio

supported 3-D content and interactive technology demonstrations.

autostereo displays, and the emerging 3-D gaming market”, commented Christopher Crescitelli, 3DFF’s enduring

educational programs in association with the festival throughout 2009.

The 3-D Film & Interactive Festival will run from March 27th through April 4th at Rave Motion Pictures’ 18 Town

Square. Admission is free for all Rave ticket holders, press and 3DFF VIP attendees. The 3-D Interactive Lounge

hours of operation are from 12pm to 10pm daily. The premiere VIP screening of 3ology will take place Friday,

Park City, Utah (January 25, 2009) – The Dream Factory Studio, the world leader in 3-D interactive live events

and the visionary force behind the world’s first touring 3-D Film & Interactive Festival initiative (3DFF), continued

to evangelize on behalf of leading 3-D digital display, technology and content creation companies with the Sundance

debut of The 3-D Film & Interactive Lounge, which ran January 15 – 23, 2009 in Park City.


Hosted by Megaplex Theatres and The Stanfield Artist Lounge, the program was presented by Mitsubishi Digital

Electronics America, DLP/Texas Instruments, and 3ality Digital, with technology support from GenAudio Inc.,

DDD, Alienware®, Nvidia, Xpand Media, Action 3D, and Avid Technology.


The 3-D Film and Interactive Lounge, powered by Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, DLP and Alienware,

features samples of the best 3-D animated and live action content in the world provided by Walt Disney Pictures,

CGI Studios, DDD, 21st Century 3D, Focus Features, Encyclopedia Pictura, UVPH, The Dream Factory, and 3-D

technology pioneer 3ality Digital, who made history at last year’s Sundance with the premier of “U23D”, which is

noted as the first 3-D film to be shown at the festival. Since the film’s debut, 3ality Digital has continued to rack up

a series of “firsts” in 3D entertainment, including mounting the first live 3D broadcast of an NFL game (Raiders vs.

Chargers, Dec. 5th, 2008); the first live 3D sports broadcast available to consumers (BCS Championship Game, Jan.

The Dream Factory also presented its 3-D short compilation program entitled “3ology: The Art and Science of the

3rd Dimension”, powered by DLP Cinema technology, which made its second run in theaters with exclusive

showings at Megaplex 12 at the Gateway Center in Downtown Salt Lake City. The program ran as a

complimentary double feature in cooperation with Lionsgate’s “My Bloody Valentine 3-D” from January 16th

through the 25th.


The 3-D Film & Interactive Lounge at Sundance featured a variety of 3-D HDTV demonstrations provided by
